Covid-19 has not only kept most of us confined to our quarters for the past six months, it has altered the definition of home.
- LAUREN LEAZENBY, Chicago Tribune
Buyers are increasingly seeking out pandemic friendly features in a home, here are several topping their wish list.
1) Home Office, ideally with a door and plenty of natural light, is now at the top of most buyers’ wish list.
2) Larger Homes, once lingering on the market, are being scooped up by buyers eager to find space the whole family can spread out and enjoy.
3) Out Door Space to serve as an extension of the living space. Fenced in yards, private decks (or patios), outdoor kitchens and pools are resonating with today's home buyers.
4) In Home Gyms or at least space to put the Peloton or treadmill.
5) Walkability continues to be of importance, especially the ability to walk to amenities in town and to public transit.
6) All Done. Many Millennial buyers are working full time and are caring for their children, which may include remote learning. Therefore, the less updating that needs to be done…the more appealing.
